This month’s focus is on patent annotations from the SureChEMBL database. Much of the knowledge hidden in patents, including compounds, scaffolds, reaction schemes, biological targets, diseases and bioactivities, is never published elsewhere. Programmatic access to this knowledge could be of exceptional value to the drug discovery and broader life science communities.

George Papadatos (EMBL-EBI) will give an overview of the SureChEMBL data integration with the Open PHACTS Discovery Platform, focussing on practical details of use cases and business questions that can be answered with the combination of the Open PHACTS API and workflow tools.
